Described on the bottle as "Mysterious and Hauntingly Seductive".

Well I do not know if I would go that far, but for the money, this is a great wine. It may even become my new "House Wine" although for some reason, I do not think so.

My house wine happens to be "Kitchen Sink Red" which I find to be a very smooth, non-aggressive wine that seems to suit all taste, this wine has a bit of a barrel/oaky taste, which I do not mind, but makes it a bit heavy.

Moving into Summer, I think this may make a better cool weather friend. I Like this wine a lot.. I do think I found this at the local Kroger Grocery Store, when I decided to browse the isles, not my local wine market.

Italian RED WINE-Not So Bad At All...

Salice Salentino-Denominazione DI Origine Controllata

Labeled as a "Red Wine", I really enjoyed this wine and was actually quite surprised.

The flavored seemed to improve after being opened for just 10 mins or so.

I do have my favorites, what I consider my "House Wines" and this one may be included since it is very agreeable to most taste, that enjoy red wine, that is.

Great Red Wines Lately ?

In the old days, I attended a great Culinary School located in Hyde Park New York. It was called the C.I.A. (Culinary Institute Of America ).

There I learned a bit more about my youthful passion of cooking and discovered the Wine Society.

It is true what the movie, ..... says, Wine does have a life and drinking wine and really tasting it, is somewhat of an art form. Not a snobbish event, but instead a chance to slow down and think about how YOU feel about the wine. The taste, the smell, (even if it smells like an old sock or freshly cut grass.) That is what is smells like to YOU.

I have recently discovered the Total Wine Stores, where I feel, and am thrilled to find, they are very informative and help me through the Journey to discover new wines from all over the world and get out of my California, Washington State phase.

The first wine that I will be speaking of is a wine from France. I do beleive I have tried this once before and remembered to purchase again. This is a very smooth wine. No real bite or youthful taste. Very agreeable to anyone that enjoys a red wine and/or Merlot.
